What is Labor Compliance?
Labor Compliance Programs are established to monitor and enforce the payment of prevailing wages on all public works construction projects. In accordance with California Labor Code section 1771.5, the Labor Compliance Programs enforce the Prevailing Wage Laws on behalf of awarding bodies.
Padilla and Associates is a leader in Labor Compliance Program development, administration, monitoring, implementation and enforcement. Padilla and Associates has worked diligently through our own approved LCP or that of an Awarding agency to properly provide our clients with technical assistance. It is our mission and goal to ensure our clients’ understanding and compliance with Title 8, California Code of Regulations, Federal and State of California Labor Laws, and Prevailing Wage Laws.
Who Must Comply?
Awarding agencies with bond-funded projects must ensure compliance with the monitoring and enforcement of State of California Labor Laws and Prevailing Wage laws. Projects include, but are not limited to school projects funded by Proposition 47 or 55 (Labor Code 1771.7 and 1771.75) and Proposition 50 projects (Labor Code 1771.8 and 1771.85).
